After Sales Service

Micromax Informatics Ltd. (hereinafter called “Micromax”) warrants the Product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship, arising under normal use from the date of original purchase when brand new.

This Warranty is subject to the following terms and conditions:

  1. The Warranty is given only to the original purchaser of the Product ("Customer").
  2. The Warranty will be applicable for twelve (12) months from the date of original purchase for mobile handset, and six (06) months for accessories (included in the mobile device sales package). Customer should present the PROOF OF PURCHASE/invoice for claiming this Warranty.
  3. For the entire Warranty Period, Micromax or its authorized service centre/personnel will, at their discretion, without any charges and subject to Clause 6 repair or replace a defective Product. Repair or replacement may involve the use of same or equivalent reconditioned unit. Micromax will return the repaired handset or can replace with another same or equivalent handset to the Customer in full working condition. All replaced faulty parts or components will become the property of Micromax.
  4. The details of the service locations are available at the website www.micromaxinfo.com or alternatively can be taken from our service helpline 0129-4883999 (Exclusive for IN Mobile). For the handsets available beyond the municipal limits of the available service center, it is the responsibility of the Customer to bring the handset to the nearest service center at his/her own risk and expenses.
  5. For any handset repaired or replaced during the warranty period, the repaired or replaced handset shall continue to be within warranty period for the remaining time of the original warranty period of original handset.
  6. The warranty will not be applicable under the following circumstances :
    • The handset IMEl number/ serial number, the accessory date code, water indicator or the warranty seal has been removed, erased , defaced, altered or is illegible; or
    • Deterioration of the Product due to normal wear and tear; or
    • Usage other than in accordance with the user manual, rough handling, ingression off exposure to any kind of liquid (water, sweat, beverages, oils etc.), exposure to moisture, dampness or exposure to extreme thermal or environmental conditions, corrosion, oxidation, unauthorized repairs, unauthorized spare parts usage, accidents, forces of nature, or other actions beyond the reasonable control of Micromax unless the defect was caused directly by defects in material or workmanship. The Warranty will also not cover any physical damage to the surface of the handset including but not limited to cracks or scratches on the LCD or camera lens; or
    • Any defects caused by the fact that the battery has been short-circuited or by the fact that the seals of the battery casing or the cells are broken or show evidence of tampering or by the fact that the battery has been used in equipment other than those for which it has been specified; or e. The defect was caused by a defective function of the service provider cellular network or other system.
    • In case of rooted devices and unlocked bootloader, warranty will be void for software issues and bricked devices. For any manufacturing defects the device will still be considered under warranty.
  7. Any claim under the warranty is subject to notification to Micromax or a Micromax authorized service center for the alleged defect within a reasonable time of its occurrence and in no event later than the expiry of the warranty period. The warranty terms state the entire warranty given by Micromax to the customer. Micromax & its Authorized service centers will not be responsible for any kind of direct or indirect loss of customers’ data stored/saved in the handset (including phonebook contacts, SMS, emails, ringtones other downloaded software, etc.) due to any kind of incidental failure of the handset and also at the time of service. It is advised that before bringing the handset for service, kindly take a proper backup of the entire personal data and remove any confidential, proprietary, or personal information from the handset.
  8. Micromax reserves the right to charge a service fee for repair /service of any nature that is not covered by this warranty.
  9. Micromax obligation under this warranty shall be limited to repair or provide replacement of parts only. The maximum claim entertained by Micromax will be subject to maximum retail price of the handset purchased or the purchase price, whichever is lower.
  10. In event of any unforeseen circumstances, there is unavailability of certain spare parts; prevailing depreciation rules will be binding on the purchaser to accept as a commercial solution in lieu of repairs.

This Warranty is subject to the following terms and conditions:

  • This warranty is confined to the first purchaser of the product only.
  • This warranty is applicable only for the personal use of product by purchaser & warranty will be void if product used for any Commercial purpose.
  • Repair or replacement will be carried out through the Company's Own/ Authorized Service Centre
  • For units installed beyond the municipal limits of the jurisdiction of the Company's Own/ Authorized Service Centre, all expenses incurred in collection the unit or part/s thereof from the Company's Own/ Authorized Service Centre, as well as expenses incurred for deputing of service personnel/ technicians towards to&fro travel, conveyance&other incidentals etc. will be borne by the customer.
  • In the event of repairs/ replacement of any part/s of the unit, this warranty will thereafter continue&remain in force only for the unexpired period of the warranty. Moreover, the time taken for repair/ replacement&in transit whether under warranty or otherwise shall not be excluded from the warranty period.
  • The company or its authorized Service Centre, reserves the right to retain any part/s or component/s replaced at its discretion in the event of a defect noticed in the equipment during the warranty period.
    1. Any change of address shall be intimated to concern Service Centre for continuation of warranty.
    2. Warranty for the unexpired period shall continue after the product is inspected by the concerned Service center&the product is found free from any type of physical damages on Product/ its part, which can void warranty of Product. The customer shall have to pay a visiting charge towards Inspection, as applicable.
    3. In case of any type of damage, the product shall be repaired by the concerned Service Centre on chargeable basis&warranty for unexpired period to continue.
  • The company's obligation under this warranty shall be limited to repair or providing replacement of part/s only. The maximum claim/s if entertained by the company will be subjected to the maximum retail price of the product purchased or the purchase price, whichever is lower.
  •  In the event of any unforeseen circumstances,&spares not being available, the company's prevailing depreciation rules will be binding on the purchaser to accept as a commercial solution in lieu of repairs.
  • The warranty does not cover any accessories external to the system.
  • The warranty is issued at New Delhi, &Courts at New Delhi shall have exclusive jurisdiction over matters covered or flowing from this warranty.
  • The company's obligation under this warranty shall be limited to repairing or providing replacement of part/s, which are found to be defective.
  • Repairs during warranty period shall be carried on "Carry In" basis. Wherein for service the purchaser shall bring the product to the Service Centre with whom the set is registered for warranty service. The warranty does not cover cost of transportation of system from place of installation to the Service Centre.
  • The concerned Service Centre will advise the customer whether to complete the repair at site or its Service Centre.
  • Any part/s of the system replaced by the company at its discretion shall be with a functionally operative part.
  • Extended Warranty details as below

First Year (Comprehensive), 2nd& 3rd Year (Extended) – For 32”&above models only

Part Replacement – For Extended Period all parts except Flat Panel. (Functional defects only)

Additional warranty Terms for Air Cooler

  1. Replacement of any part may be refurbished or factory manufactured and it will ensure the functionality is intact.
  2. Micromax employees/ or authorized sales/ service agents/ dealers have no right/ authority to alter the terms of warranty, & such warranty doesn’t create any contract between ‘Micromax’ & the purchaser who must look to fulfillment of the obligation from whom the machine is bought. “Micromax” shall however, fulfill the terms & conditions of this warranty only
  3. Replacement of parts would be purely at the discretion of Micromax alone.

 

The warranty is not applicable in the following conditions:

  • The product is used for commercial purpose instead of personal use.
  • The completed warranty card/ invoice copy is not presented to authorized personnel at the time of repair.
  • The product is not purchased from an Authorized Micromax Sales Channel.
  • The product is not used as per the instructions given in the instruction/ user manual.
  • Defects caused by improper use as determined by the company personnel.
  • Modification or alteration of any nature is made in the electrical circuitry/ physical construction of the set.
  • Installation/ repair work is carried out by persons/ agency other than authorized by the company.
  • Site (premises where the product is kept) conditions that do not confirm to the recommended operating conditions of the machine.
  • The original serial number is removed, obliterated or altered from the machine or cabinet.
  • Defects due to cause beyond control like lightning, abnormal voltage, acts of God or while in transit to Service Centre or purchaser's residence.
  • Plastic parts, Aesthetical Damaged/ Tampered parts, Accessories
  • Additional Condition for Air Cooler:
    • Failure due to misuse/negligence, and/or acts of Gods, foreign objects in machine, improper load, use of harmful chemicals. Machine connected to improper power supply system, damage resulting in machine in operation, in an abnormally corrosive alkaline/acidic environment, failure due to use of non-genuine spares, removal, alteration or tampering of serial of machines and its components
